The Best To Do During a Lockdown

Like a lot of you, I am in complete confinement in my home in the South of France at the moment.

Because a lot of you share or will share, a similar faith over the next few weeks, I thought the best I could bring you was an overview of some of the things you can do over the next few weeks to become a better investor, a better entrepreneur and hopefully – a better person.

Being isolated at home doesn’t have to be a punishment.

On the contrary, it can be a wonderful opportunity to deepen your knowledge of a particular topic, take time to refocus on yourself and recharge your batteries.

(I also imagine we can use this time to work on improving our relationships with whomever we’re in confinement with… but that’s not the topic of this newsletter!)

So let’s dive straight into it.

If you’re looking for reading material to become a better investor, the first place to start would be by reading Tony Robbins’ book, Unshakeable. In a time of crisis like this one, there is no better piece of literature I could recommend to you.

It’s a short read, and my most recommend book.

Once you’re done, I suggest you move onto Rich Dad Poor Dad, and Retire Young, Retire Rich by Robert Kiyosaki – in that order.

These two are what I believe to be the gem of Robert Kiyosaki’s writings, and form the basis for a lot of the things we talk about at Beyond Entrepreneurs.

We have spent time with Robert in person – and he’s the real deal. If you can look past the catchy titles, his lessons are worth gold.

Next, I encourage you to expand your thinking with Yuval Noah Harari’s Homo Deus, Sapiens & 21 Lessons For the 21st Century.

These books – particularly Homo Deus – should help you look at the world from a different angle – a powerful, empowering angle. And if you feel like his books are too long, I highly recommend the number one podcast episode I share with people – Yuval’s interview with Rich Roll on Why Clarity Is Power.

It’s short – and is really worth your time.

Along with Yuval Noah Harari, one of my favorite forward-looking thinkers is Peter Diamandis, the founder of Singularity University.

Peter studies the future to understand what the world might look like in the future based on new exponential technologies being developed.

For those who have never seen Peter’s work, I highly recommend you watch this Youtube video to get a glimpse of what the future could look like, what it means for our investments– and why we have all the reasons to be optimistic about where the world is going.

Of course, just like the coronavirus pandemic, there will be bumps along the way to this extraordinary future, and Raoul Pal, the founder of Real Vision, does an incredible job at explaining some of these obstacles in this interview right here, that I highly encourage you to watch.

He talks about the current pandemic, where it could go, and what it would mean for the global economy.

That’s it on the investing side for now. If you can read and study this material, you’ll be ahead of 99% of the pack.

Now, if you’re looking to build a business, the best resource in the world is Wiet.

On Tuesday, he will bring you his top resources on building a great business that you can study from the comfort of your living room.

And of course, no resource explaining how to become a better entrepreneur and investor would be complete without me telling you about our new 6-week Masterclass that is being launched today.

In this class, Wiet and I take everything we’ve ever learned about business and investing, filter out the bad, integrate the best, and bring it to you it an easy 12-step process.
